Balscadden Football Club located in Fingal gives children from nursery age to senior level the opportunity to play for their local team. To raise funds for the club and make sure that children in the area can be part of the footballing community for generations to come, Balscadden F.C. is giving one lucky person the chance to win a new home worth €250,000 in Balrothery Co.Dublin for just €100 through ‘Win a Dublin Home’. All profits raised through this fundraising campaign will go directly towards the development of the Balscadden F.C. sporting facility to serve the entire community.
Rebecca Grimes, who plays Hayley Collins in Fair City, said; “It’s great to be involved in a worthy cause like this that’s so close to my heart. Balscadden Football Club is my local club, so I really hope people can support it and of course they might win a home in the process!”.
The first prize on offer is a two-bedroom house in the picturesque village of Balrothery, located in North County Dublin. Balrothery enjoys the peacefulness and tranquillity of a village whilst being directly on the commuter belt of Dublin City Centre (35 minutes) and Dublin Airport (15 minutes).
The block-built house, developed by one of Ireland’s leading construction companies, Larry Kiernan Plant Hire ltd, comes to the market with a choice of kitchen and €10,000 cash for the lucky winner.
"This is a very exciting undertaking for us and we hope to use the proceeds to put the club in a strong position for future generations," said club Secretary Willie Burke.
"There's been lots of interest and the prize speaks for itself. It's a potentially life-changing draw and we wish everyone who enters it the very best of luck. Balrothery really is the best of both worlds, with the peacefulness and tranquillity of a village whilst being so close to Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport. To win a house right on the commuter belt in a lovely village like Balrothery would be an unbelievable story."
The house is coveted with ‘A’ rated energy efficiency tag, with an air to water heating system and under floor heating. The south-facing garden is landscaped and includes a steel shed with concrete flooring and electricity. The front driveway is finished with cobble lock and has ample room for two cars.
