Balbriggan Tidy Towns calls on local groups to register for Spring Clean

National Spring Clean is Ireland’s most popular, well recognized and successful anti-litter initiative which takes place during the whole month of April. The campaign encourages every sector of society to actively participate and take responsibility for litter, by actually conducting clean ups in their own community.

Balbriggan Tidy Towns Association would love to see lots of Spring Cleans take place throughout the whole of Balbriggan. We would encourage Residents Associations, Schools, Clubs or family groups to register a Spring Clean on the An Taisce website, www.nationalspringclean.org claim their clean up kit and get out in the fresh air to make a difference for our local environment.

Alternatively you can join the Tidy Towns group for a clean up any Saturday morning from 11am. We meet on the beach and tackle a variety of areas around the town.

We want Balbriggan to maintain its high ranking in the 2017 Irish Business Against Litter league, where we came an impressive 10th in the country and were deemed cleaner than European norms.

Get out, get clean, be proud.
