Fingal Public Participation Network launched their Spring Information and Training Programme at last Mondays Fingal County Council Meeting. Fingal PPN offers FREE Training & Information Sessions to local Community & Voluntary Groups in Fingal.
The Public Participation Network (PNN) brings together all voluntary groups and organisations working in Fingal. It facilitates the two way flow of information between these groups and Fingal County Council and enables people to influence plans and policies for the future development of the County.
Fingal PPN is supported by Fingal County Council Community Development Office. Pat Queenan Principal Community Officer highlighted that “ Voluntary groups are the backbone of communities in Fingal and need to be supported. Following on from their Autumn Training Programme, Fingal PPN are providing valuable training supports to groups which will contribute to strong communities” She encouraged all to attend the sessions.
The programme comprises of 6 FREE Information and Training events over the coming months, commencing on Tuesday 28th February with Social Media for Community Groups in the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown. “ We are very excited about our Programme as the training is practical and we feel this programme has something for all groups from Funding, Communication for Community Groups, Promoting and Increasing new members, Information on the NEW Fingal Development Plan and an Opportunity to feed into the Fingal Library Development Plan” explained Sinead Wiley, Resource Worker Fingal PPN.
