We had a fab. night with 32 people enjoying the craic. We met in the Balrothery Inn at 8.00 and had a drink before we walked down to the school. Mrs. O’Connor rang the bell outside and as usual all the pupils ran to get into a line. We were then marched into class. We sat in the same room as we did in 6th class 1976 and Mrs. O’Connor proceeded to call the roll as gaeilge. We had speeches from former teachers Mrs. O’Connor , Mr. P.J. Kerry and Mr. Brendan Griffin. After that we posed for a class photo before returning to the Inn where we talked and sang until the early hours of the morning. I gave everyone a replenished photo of our class taken in 1975 and plan to share all the photos taken on the night. Jim Cunningham, Michelle Cannon and David Fitzgerald were in great voice on the night and led us down memory lane with a wide selection of old songs including those we were taught in school. We thank Brendan McCormack who provided light finger food and Tony Healy for taking official photos on the night. I personally would like to thank all the people who came on the night and made it the success it was. Looking forward to the 50th reunion !!!! pupils
