Balbriggan ward Cllr Tom OLeary who hadna meeting with Minister Simon Coveney welcomed confirmation by the Minister of approval for a €4.5 million Investment in 25 new homes on council lands at Hampton Demesne Balbriggan.
Minister Simon Coveney was in Fingal on Monday 12th Dec outlined his determination to proceed with a clear well planned action plan for new Housing in all areas of Fingal.
This particular development has been through an extensive consultation process with the local community in Balbriggan and the plan has been altered and adapted to take to community’s positive suggestions into account.
I note that Fingal Co Council are ramping up their house building programme, and that construction has started on 74 new homes in Lusk. Fingal Co Council inform me that the first batch of these homes will hopefully be made available to families in need of housing in June/July 2017
Fingal Council Report on design of 25 new homes in Balbriggan There are 45 on-street car-parking spaces distributed across the development, but always in view of the fronts of houses. The single-storey houses are grouped around a shared garden to which only they have access. The garden has sea views. All houses will have shallow front gardens.
