| Construction work in the
Hampton Cove area will be starting next week. An underground pumping
station is being built and will take appoximately 6 months to
complete. This is located beside the existing ejector station/sea
outfall. When the works are completed, sewage will no longer be
pumped out to sea at this location, but will go through the new
pipelines to the treatment plant at Barnageeragh.
The pipeline section from Hampton Cove along the coast road to
Barnageeragh will take another 12 weeks to complete. The section
of pipeline along the green at Hampton Cove will only take about
2 weeks to be constructed, after which residents will be able
access a large part of the green area.
A letter drop to residents of Hampton
Cove and a general update report on the scheme will happen in
the next week or so,
Regards, Niamh
