ROADS ACT 1993 - SECTION 75
TEMPORARY CLOSURES OF: PART OF RUSH ROAD, SKERRIES
PART OF HARBOUR ROAD, BALBRIGGAN

Fingal County Council made an order temporarily closing:
• part of Rush Road (Holmpatrick), Skerries, Co. Dublin, between its junction with Miller’s Lane to its junction with Shenick Road from Saturday, 1st April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. to Sunday, 2nd April, 2006 at 6.00 p.m. inclusive.
• part of Harbour Road, Balbriggan from its junction with Quay Street to the railway line over bridge from Monday, 3rd April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. to Friday, 7th April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. inclusive.

The purpose of these proposed temporary road closures is to enable works as part of the Balbriggan/Skerries Waste Water Treatment Plant to be undertaken on these sections of road in the form of :
• the construction of an inspection chamber on the Rush Road
• the laying of a second 450 mm diameter concrete pipe from the Quay St. pumping station to the sewerage line on Harbour Road
• the construction of new inspection chambers which will incorporate the two existing chambers in Harbour Road.

The periods for the proposed temporary closure of Rush Road, Skerries is from 1st April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. to Sunday, 2nd April, 2006 at 6.00 p.m. inclusive.
• The periods for the proposed temporary closure of Harbour Road, Balbriggan is from 3rd April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. to Friday, 7th April 2006 at 6.00 a.m. inclusive.
Local access will be available at all times.

Alternative routes for temporary closure of Rush Road, Skerries:-
Alternative Route 1: For those travelling from Skerries to Rush:
Via Miller’s Lane and Shenick Road.

Alternative Route 2: For those travelling from Rush to Skerries:
Via Shenick Road and Miller’s Lane.

Alternative routes for temporary closure of Harbour Road, Balbriggan:-
Alternative Route 1: To access Harbour area from direction of Drogheda Street:
Via Mill Street and Harbour Road

Alternative Route 2: To exit Harbour area:
Via Harbour Road and George’s Hill
or
Via Harbour Road, George’s Hill, Station Road and Convent Lane.
