hello,
my name is david plizga and i am secretary of st francis pipe band based in the gorbals, glasgow.
this year is the bands 80th anniversary and, as part of our celebrations, we are gathering together
as many photographs of the band over the years and we hope to produce a 'photo-journal' of the band.

for many years, around the 1950's - 1960's the sta francis boys guild would attend a summer camp in balbriggan.
i believe as many as 300 boys would travl from glasgow!

i am sure there must be many photograhs of the band, or the boys guild, in ballbriggan at the time.
i was wondering if you could help us by mentioning on your web page that we are looking for photographs
and any recollections of the boys in ballbriggan.

i would also be grateful if you could advise if there is a local newspaper that we could plcae an article in.

thank you in anticipation of your help!
