I lived in Balbriggan many Years ago and sometimes laugh about the good old days. Yes we all had good times back then in good old Balbriggan. Now the reason I am sending this email is because I saw on your site a lot of people from the Past and also about Tommy Caffery and it made me think about a fellow who one night made me laugh so much but he never knew, I tell you he made a lot of people laugh quite a lot. I was never a friend of his but he would always say if you get a lift before me you better stop for me because back then we all hitched to Drogheda every weekend. Another thing about him was years ago he was buried in the sand just like all the rest of us in a small whole with our legs buried and then out we got BUT as they pulled him out of the sand and then took his leg out. you see somethings in life you never forget...this must have happened 30 or more years ago where has the time gone????? Anyhow, I happened to find a photo of him with two Lady's from the town so I decided to send it in for your site..I think these are things that you should put on your site.....Not only was he a character so were the two ladies with him and the photo of them in the Milestone (I think) is just Balbriggan in the good old days left to right Mrs Caroline Smith,Mrs Kitty Cannon and the fellows name was Mr Matthews ( I never knew his real name but nick name Scatts )
