| The St Patrick's Band
had recently reformed and gave recitals almost every week
on the banks at Balbriggan during the summer from 1906 to
1916. Remember these were the days before Sunday Markets,
Television and all the distractions we have today; they played
for pure pleasure. The image below is another from the series
by Payne & Cuddy Photo, Drogheda and was posted in 1907.
Both photos were obviously taken on the same day. |

| About 10 years later a bandstand was
built in front of the Balbriggan Sea Banks Hosiery factory
and this can be seen in the postcards of 1917, see below. |

| The Bandstand is no longer there.The
gleaming white surround wall on the factory was constructed
