| it's obvious that my late Dad's side of the family are going to be from somewhere in the Cork area (although most of his immediate family are in Cardiff), so that's one minefield for me to navigate. My late mother's (Ellen's) family has always been a bit of a mystery involving scandal and all sorts, but as such a prominent Balbriggan family, I'm guessing there must be lots of Whyte's still around the area who might be able to fill in some gaps and help me with the family history further back. Your website has been a fantastic source of information, with pictures of my late Mum's Dad and his father and mother (Lewis and Dorothea Whyte) that were amazing discoveries. My parents divorced when I was quite young and I didn't get the chance to enquire much about my Mum's side of the family before she died. I believe that my Uncle Lewis (who now lives in Spain) has quite a lot of info, but sadly (even though my cousin, his daughter, Rebecca sent me them) I have lost his contact details. It looks like quite a tale, though, and I'd love it if anyone can help with the enormous amount of blanks that I have. Here's hoping. Many thanks in advance - and what a corking good website!
