ROADS ACT 1993 – SECTION 75

EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHAPEL STREET AND GEORGES SQUARE, BALBRIGGAN

 

Fingal County Council has made an Order temporarily closing the following roads,in connection with the Balbriggan Village Urban Renewal Scheme which is ongoing.  It is proposed to implement the following temporary traffic restrictions in order to complete essential service works on the carriageway along the main street.

1. Georges Square closure between the junction of Dublin Street/Bridge St. and High Street for up to 1 week.  The diversion route for traffic from Dublin Street/Bridge Street will be Dublin Street - Market Green - Hampton Street.  The diversion route for traffic from Hampton Street will be Hampton Street – Market Green – Dublin Street. The proposed date of the closure is from the 15th of February.

 

1. Chapel Street closure at the junction with Drogheda Street for up to 1 week.  The Diversion for traffic from Drogheda Street will be Drogheda Street-Clonard Street-Fulham Terrace- Chapel Street and from Chapel Street –Fulham Terrace-Clonard Street-Drogheda Street. The diversion for traffic from Chapel St will be Chapel St.-Fulham Terrace-Clonard St.-Drogheda St. The proposed date of the closure is from the 22nd of February.

The start dates of the closures are subject to change.
