I really hope that some of your local historians might recognise the context of the group photo.
Or even one of the many characters.
I am attaching another picture, which may be of some interest. It is a family treasure.
Such characters, it almost come alive.
Taken around 1900.
(Exclude the rascal on the right)
Colgan brothers with aprons R to L. Ben Colgan (with daughter Elizabeth), Joseph Colgan (my grand father), ANother possible Colgan ??
They were born in the Naul, cottage at Hynestown cross road. But the forge is actually one they shared in Dublin city.
We are still trying to locate exact address, as they had a number of forges around Bolton St, Capel St area.
