Not Easy Being a Witch
By
Roger Turner
I knew that it would happen,
That it would end in tears,
For you to have been successful,
Would have taken years and years.
For its not for the faint-hearted,
And you don't learn it from a book.
You have to work hard and practice,
And have that special evil look.
Plus a cupboard full of potions,
And the ancient book of spells,
A big black cat that is angry and fat,
That hisses nicely as well.
Now don't forget the workshop,
That is full of smoke and smells
And then you need a victim,
To receive your evil spells,
But when you practice spelling,
You must take extra care,
Close up all the shutters,
Make sure that no ones there.
And cover up the mirror,
So no reflections are about.
Or your spells will rebound upon you,
And you will get a double clout
So why not hang up your broomstick,
And destroy all your potions as well,
Then burn your book of wisdom,
So you'll never cast another spell.
And if you want an interest,
To pass a winters night.
Take up naked origami,
Now that would be quite a sight.
