Gerard Whitehouse, Michael O'Donovan Fingal Mayor and Jason Mates.
Gerard is the first Bracken Club boxer to represent his country when he competed in an Ireland v England tournament held in Dungarvan last May. He stopped the British Champion in two rounds. Both boxers were presented with awards by the Mayor. Chairman and founder member of the club, Greg Kenny was also presented with an award on behalf of the club. Present at the civic reception were Cathaoirleach of Balbriggan Town Council, Councillor Sean Brown, the elected members of the County Council and Town Council along with club representatives and family members. Gerard repeated this great success again at the 2008 All-Ireland Championship held in the National Stadium in April when he won the boys 2 category -52Kgs.
