Over the last 5-6 years the training division of the company has grown
substantially. BEDG Ltd has achieved the FETAC, City & Guilds, ICS
(ECDL, ECDL Advanced) and MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) accreditations.
Profile
In 2004 BEDG Ltd opened its Training Division to supply training to the
community, private sector and industry to supply clients with necessary skills
to obtain jobs. Over the last 5-6 years the training division of the company
has grown substantially. Grown from initially operating out of one training
room to operating out of up to currently 5. BEDG Ltd has achieved the FETAC,
City & Guilds, ICS (ECDL, ECDL Advanced) and MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist)
accreditations. Our office and training rooms are easily accessible from
Balbriggan Main Street which is serviced by the main Dublin to Belfast train
line, Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus. Free Parking is available adjacent to our
facilities. Our training unit is user friendly for people with disabilities, has
access points for wheelchairs and a number of learning aids.

• Through Pobal funding BEDG Ltd can provide training in its social and
community capacity to members of the public in the form of subsidised
places on our training courses.

History
BEDG Ltd was established in 1994. The main object for which BEDG Ltd
was established is to create an enterprise culture in the community by
encouraging initiatives specifically geared towards supporting existing and
new enterprises. Maximising local and regional resources thereby expanding
opportunities for the unemployed, through the provision of support and
training facilities, to participate fully in the economy while contributing to the
maintenance and growth of viable sustainable jobs.
In 1994 BEDG employed a Manager to provide advice and support to the
unemployed seeking to set up small enterprises in and around Balbriggan.
BEDG Ltd Job Club
In 1999 funding was secured from FAS to
operate a Jobs Club which serves all areas
from Swords to north of Balbriggan. Each Job
Club runs 5 mornings a week over a 3 week period and is offered free of charge
to the unemployed and provides advice on CV Preparation, Interview
Skills, Letter Writing, Application Forms, Job Sourcing and Career
Guidance. The Job Club is based along side the Training Division
in Unit 9, BEAT Centre, Balbriggan.
