Balbriggan Town Council holds its first meeting in new Town Hall
Balbriggan Town Council held its first meeting in the New Town Hall building on St. Georges Square on Tuesday 13th December 2005.

The new Town Hall is situated in the new Georges Square development which comprises civic offices for Balbriggan Town Council and Fingal County Council, an extended library facility, retail units, new senior citizens centre, apartments and an extension to the Bracken Court Hotel along with an underground car park.

Balbriggan Town Council will be situated on the second floor of the new building and their facilities include a council chamber, offices for staff and a community hall for use by the local community at a reasonable cost.

The building is currently undergoing an extensive fit-out and it is expected that the local authority offices will be ready for business in January 2006 and the new library will ready for business in April 2006.

The redevelopment of St Georges Square is expected to be complete by the end of January 2006.
