It all started in October 2003 when Tony Healy realised that the town had no web site. Tony subsequently bought and registered the name www.balbriggan.net. One week later Tony paid a visit to the photographic exhibition and there he met Jack, Joe and Martin. Tony got talking to Joe and mentioned that he had just started Balbriggan.net. Joe checked out the site straight away and could see the potential the site had and said himself and Jack would make available photos from their collection. This was the start of a great team and when Martin Fanning came onboard, it became the A-team. There are other sites in the town but where Balbriggan.net really scores is the fact that it is updated every few days. The site has become so popular that Google has rated it No.1 in their search results and consequently we receive between 100 and 200 hits a day.To be continued.
