The way that work, energy,
WORK, ENERGY, HEAT AND POWER
Work is done for example when a mass is lifted against the force of gravity.

Energy is the capacity to do work, it has the same units as work and heat.

Power is the rate of doing work (power = work / time).

Some examples are shown below of how simple equations are used to calculate work done in raising some water in a building , as well as in simple power estimations.
