He then found work with a man called Taylor who gave him a house in lieu of work, the house was in need of renovation which he did himself, at the gates to Ardgillan Castle. He became a stone mason and returned to uk for work occasionally when none was available here. On one occasion he was brought back from uk to help with the rebuilding of spicers mills ovens when they collapsed (I don't know the year). The picture you have is 81/82 and many remember him building that wall. He would have had a drink in Gallagher's pub (de bruns) and McCormack's in Balrothery and Balbriggan, always with his Jack Russell, Smartie. He was a regular visitor to Cheltenham with among others Paddy McCormack (white hart inn). The family are eager to locate pictures  of him that were once hung in McCormacks White Hart Inn of him getting shaved by another man Dozer McInnerney! He died in 1992 aged 74 and is buried in Ardla burial grounds. I hope my information is accurate and my family, Jimmy Jnr Rita and Anne would appreciate any stories/pictures if anyone has any, thanks , Diann Howarth.
