Congratulations to Linda Brown
A Huge Congratulations to local Balbriggan girl Linda Brown on her great achievement of losing a massive 7Stone 1Lbs in weight.
Linda has successfully got to the Final of The Unislimmer of The Year competition. The Final will take place on Wed 5th /Thurs 6th October. The Final winner will be announced at a champagne reception in The Raddison Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 2 by Apprentice star Jackie Levins.

My name is Linda Brown. I am 46 years old. Looking back I would say I started to have an issue with my weight when my fiancée died in 2001. My weight began to fluctuate and I found that my normal size 14 was slowly creeping up to a size 22. My addiction was comfort eating or if I was upset about anything. I would just eat the wrong things like crisps, biscuits, cakes the list is endless.
I wasn’t confident in my clothes. I wore dark baggy trousers, jumpers and sweatshirts to cover up my size and my big shape. So I decided to join Unislim on 6th May 2009 and have never looked back.
The moment of truth came when my breathing got very bad, so bad that walking up a flight of stairs took a lot out of me. I also suffer from Asthma which had got worse and suffered a lot of chest infections and colds and this was all down to my weight gain.
Since I joined Unislim with Pamela I know how to manage my food portions.
My overall health has improved so much so that I can run up the stairs and hills without any effort. I exercise for around an hour a day and I also do indoor bowling two hours a week. I enjoy cycling now something I could not do and is now part of my daily routine. I now enjoy getting up early, getting my exercise done and look forward to each day.
