They also chatted about the 10 extra points they achieved this year in the National competition and how this would from a platform for an even better performance in 2012. Joe Troy the Tidy Towns Chairperson gave a speech in which he thanked all the volunteers for their incredible dedication throughout the whole year. Cllr Grainne McGuire gave a speech on-behalf of the Town Council in which she reiterated the close working relationship that has been established between the Town Council and the Balbriggan Tidy Towns Team. The whole team are looking forward to a little rest before work for spring planting starts again in a few weeks. The Endevour Award will be collected by members of the  Balbriggan Tidy Towns team next Thursday at the County Dublin Tidy Towns ceremony at the Dublin Tourism Offices.
